The Investment Property Forum (IPF) is a leading property organisation in the UK and has a research programme aimed at enhancing the knowledge, understanding and efficiency of property as an investment. A key element in IPFÌs strategic plan is to identify the property research priorities in the UK. To identify these property research priorities, a major survey of IPF members was conducted by the authors in January 2003, with over 40 property research areas assessed. The purpose of this paper is to present these UK property research priorities to enable the more effective development of a UK property research agenda. A comparison of equivalent property research priorities in the USA (Worzala: 2000) and Australia (Newell and Worzala: 2001) is also evaluated.
